From 1865 to 1875, she attended the Municipal Girls' High School in Frankfurt an der Oder.
After the death of her father, Friedrich Julius Goslich (1875), a judge at the Court of Appeal, she lived with her sister in the house of her guardian,
Rudolf Tirpitz, a judicial councillor, the father of Alfred von Tirpitz and a friend of her father's from university.
From 1877 to 1879, she stayed with a family of friends at the Hertwigswaldau manor in Silesia to learn housekeeping. At a boarding school in Dresden, she received lessons in language, music and dressmaking.
In 1882–1883, she went to French-speaking Switzerland to perfect her French.
From 1883 to 1901, she worked as a private tutor for french language in Berlin, later teaching all subjects at the Higher Girls' School. She lived in the so-called "Republic of Lützow-Ufer" with Laura Delbrück, Helene and Irene von Henning.
From 1891 to 1898, she worked as a secretary in the editorial office of the publishing house Preußische Jahrbücher, while also working as a writer and contributing to Berlin daily newspapers and illustrated magazines.
From 1907 to 1910, she was an editor at the magazine Körperkultur.
Since 1905, she has been a member of the editorial staff of the magazine "Bote für die christliche Frauenwelt" (published by the Oberlinhaus foundation in Potsdam, founded by Pastor Theodor Hoppe).
On 16 February 1910, she married the writer Karl Kuhls in Berlin, who was born on 4 February 1862 in Wewern, Lasdohn district, Livonia, the son of teacher Karl Kuhls, headmaster of schools in Riga and Königsberg, and his wife Emma, née Fröhlich from Memel.
Since then, she has published her articles mainly under the name Marie Kuhls or Marie Kuhls-Goslich.
In 1911, the couple moved to Potsdam. Marie Goslich later divorced her husband.
From 1913 to 1920, she worked as editor for the "Boten für die deutsche Frauenwelt" (Messenger for German Women), the organ of the Protestant Women's Relief Organisation.
Marie Goslich died in 1938 under unexplained circumstances. The cause of death is being investigated.
